What Are Forex Rebates? How Trading Cashback Works
Updated 25-07-2026 · 6 min read · by the TradeStats team
A forex rebate returns part of the trading-related revenue to the client. Instead of depending on whether a trade won or lost, the calculation normally starts with eligible volume. TradeStats records that volume from synchronized closed trades so the result can be traced back to individual positions.
How the TradeStats rebate process works
- Register, connect the follower account with read-only access, and submit an application.
- An administrator manually confirms eligibility, the linked copy master, an effective date, and a rate.
- Eligible closed trades from that effective date are reconciled at the account's USD-per-lot rate.
- Credits from all approved accounts collect in one client wallet.
- Once available funds reach $100, the client can request a supported cryptocurrency payout.
What is and is not eligible
Every closed trade on an active, approved follower account counts, including losing and manually placed trades. Open positions earn nothing. A paused enrollment, an unsynchronized account, or a missing or changed copy-master link blocks new accruals until the account is reviewed.
Rates and payments are not universal
Rates vary by approved account and can change prospectively. Approval is manual, broker availability is not universal, and savings are not guaranteed. Wallet balances remain in USD. Payments are manual and crypto-only; supported networks and deducted network fees are shown before a request is confirmed. Tax, reporting, and legal responsibilities depend on the client's jurisdiction.

FAQ
What is a forex rebate?
A forex rebate is cashback calculated from eligible trading volume. In the TradeStats program, an approved follower account earns its configured USD-per-standard-lot rate when a trade closes.
Do losing trades qualify?
Yes. Profitability does not affect eligibility: every eligible closed trade counts. Open trades do not earn a rebate.
When can I withdraw?
A withdrawal can be requested when the combined available balance across approved accounts reaches $100. Payments are manual and crypto-only, and network fees are deducted.
